Dino Athanassiou, Biography

Dino is a veteran animation director in the classic Hollywood tradition of rich character performance, both traditionally drawn and computer-animated.  He is the owner and creative director of Stardust Studios, which provides a complete range of high-end animation services for film and television, from storyboards to screen. He and his teams of artists have built a reputation for creating world-class design, storyboarding, and animation for the US majors.  Work that has come through Dino’s studio includes Sequence Direction, Animation and Clean-Up for DreamWorks’ Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas; and Sequence Direction, Design, Storyboard, Leica Reel, Animation, Clean-Up and FX for Warner Bros’ Space Jam. In 2004-05 Dino was Director of Animation on Happily N’Ever After,a computer-animated fairytale feature film produced by Shrek producer John Williams.  Currently he is directing tests for a computer-animated implementation of HIT Entertainment’s Thomas And Friends.
